It\u2019s possible that you may require a refund from the receipt of excess financial aid or dropping a class after providing payment. To set up your refund preferences, follow the list of instructions below.<\/p>\n

  1. Log into Colleague Self-Service<\/a> and select the \u201cStudent Finance\u201d option<\/li>\n
  2. Click the “Make a Payment” hyperlink to the right of “Total Amount Due”<\/li>\n
  3. When redirected, select the “Continue to Payment Center” button<\/li>\n
  4. Click the “Refunds” tab at the top of the screen<\/li>\n
  5. Two-step verification must be completed by selecting the “Complete Two-Step Verification” button<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Credit Balance Refunds<\/h2>\n

    A credit balance results when the total of the credits posted to a student\u2019s account (for example, payments, loan disbursements, scholarships, etc.) exceed the total of the charges applied or applicable to the account for a specific term or semester. Refunds on Federal funds will occur within two weeks of the fund date on the student\u2019s ledger.<\/p>\n

    A credit balance eligible for a refund is one where all the applicable charges and credits have been posted to the account and the student\u2019s eligibility for such funds has been reviewed and confirmed or adjusted based on current eligibility, enrollment, or any other applicable conditions.<\/p>\n

    Anticipated funds are not considered credits to a student\u2019s account until the funds have been fully disbursed to the account. These include anticipated financial aid, anticipated outside scholarships, estimated plan payments, and estimated third party payments.<\/p>\n

    Accounts of students on a Payment Plan are not eligible for a refund unless the Payment Plan has been completed and paid in full, and payments exceed the applicable charges.<\/p>\n

    In some cases, if a refund is issued and subsequently a balance is created in the student\u2019s account, it is the student\u2019s responsibility to return the funds to the University or pay the balance in accordance with the University\u2019s billing and payments policies, including any applicable penalties and late fees.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
