Peter MacDonald
Background
Peter MacDonald brings more than 34 years of experience across a broad spectrum of technology, spanning the evolution from punch cards to cloud computing. Over the course of his career, he has held roles ranging from Programmer to Director of Management Information Systems, as well as Database Administrator.
In his director and administrative roles, MacDonald oversaw all internal applications, systems, and reporting. He led server installations, managed user account migrations and changes, coordinated system upgrades, and directed performance tuning, along with policy development and security management.
His professional background includes work in multiple industries with organizations such as The Gillette Company (now Procter & Gamble), Â鶹ŮÀÉ, Verizon, and Johnson Controls, where he developed deep expertise in information technology systems and operations.
Today, MacDonald is dedicated to giving back to the field by educating the next generation of technology professionals. He teaches graduate-level courses in Information Technology, as well as Database and Networking courses, to students in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, and MBA programs at his alma mater, Â鶹ŮÀÉ.
